This year's event will be held at the Big Barn
Theater located at 2253 US 13 South in Grantham.

The Wayne County Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation is now in its third year of conservation work. Brent Hood, who has been a member of the Wayne County Tuscarora Chapter as well, has been elected president of the organizaition.

He and the other officers and banquet committee members look forward to serving you at the upcoming annual event to be held again at the Big Barn Theater.

Sunday, September 16 from 2-5 p.m. - Jakes Field Day - This is a free event for kids 17 and under. We'll have a Turkey Shoot, Skeet Shoot, BB Range, Turkey Calling demonstration, Falconry Display, Gun Safety Instruction, Hot Dogs, Fishing and more. First 50 kids will receive a goodie bag and box turkey call. The event will be held at the home of Ted Hood at 176 Weaver Road, Goldsboro in the Grantham community. From the Wayne County Fairgrounds, take U.S. 13 South 6 miles to Weaver Road and follow the JAKES signs. See map below:

Benelli Super Black Eagle II raffle - Tickets for this drawing are only $20. Each ticket will be included in a nationwide drawing for a Benelli/Realtree TV hunt.

Volunteers - The WC Longbeards is in need of volunteers to assist with banquets and other events. Please contact Chapter President Brent Hood to get involved with your chapter.
